Becoming a Precinct Chair: Your Opportunity to Make a Difference!

Updated: Nov 25, 2023

Are you passionate about politics and want to make a tangible difference in your community?

Consider becoming a precinct chair! This vital, volunteer role is your chance to be at the heart of political change and community engagement.

As a precinct chair, you'll be the bridge between the Democratic Party and your neighborhood.

Your main duty? Rallying fellow Democrats in your precinct to collaborate with the party. This means you're not just a participant, you're a leader and a motivator, someone who brings people together for a common cause.

Staying informed and keeping others informed is key.

You'll have the important task of keeping your community up-to-date on party happenings, events, and volunteer opportunities. Imagine being the go-to person for information, the one who helps everyone stay connected and involved!

But it's not just about information; it's about action.

As a precinct chair, you are a voting member of the party. You'll attend meetings every 4th Thursday of the month from January to October, 7 PM at the New Boston Community Center. Your voice and vote in these meetings will help shape the party's decisions and strategies.

Yes, the position is unpaid and may not have the glamour of high-profile political roles, but its impact is immense.

As a precinct chair, you are the grassroots of the party, the foundation upon which political success is built. You'll have the opportunity to network, learn, and grow alongside like-minded individuals passionate about democratic values.

Being a precinct chair is about more than just attending meetings...

It's about fostering a sense of community, empowering others to participate, and being an integral part of strengthening the Democratic Party. If you're ready to take on this exciting and rewarding challenge, we welcome you to step forward and make a difference!

Join us, and be the change you wish to see in your precinct!
